Spark Economics,
A Model For Prosperity

We equip small businesses with technology to unlock productivity and job creation.

Our goal is to foster economic growth and wellbeing in developing countries, empowering people to thrive in their own communities rather than being forced to migrate.

2026 Pilot Project

In Talanga, Honduras

Project Details

We selected 4 entrepreneurs to receive machinery aimed at increasing production, revenue, and job creation over the next 12 months. Edwin, who builds agricultural machinery, received a plasma cutter to automate metal cutting, eliminate delays and improve quality. Larissa and Catherine, who create personalized products, received a laser engraver to offer new types of products made in-house. Felipe, a shoemaker, received a double-needle sewing machine to reduce stitching time from 30 minutes to three minutes per pair. Finally, Antonio, a dairy producer, received a vacuum sealer to extend his products’ shelf life and expand sales to supermarkets nationwide.

A Story from Ghana

The impact of a Sewing Machine

Alfred Acquah

A talented tailor in Shama, Alfred lacked his own sewing machine to work on his clients’ clothes. Even though he rented one in a studio every few weeks, he had limited production capacity. When we provided him with a sewing machine, everything changed. He could work every day, full-time, and soon rented a space in town to attract new customers. His client base grew, his sales increased, and today his company thrives at a whole new level, all because one machine unlocked his great potential.

Problems We’re Solving

How The Model Works

In Just 3 Steps

We begin by locating a region with existing economic activity but lacking technology investments.

1. Equip

We partner with local community to identify beneficiaries and provide equip them with machines tailored to their production needs.

2. Track

Monitor key metrics such as revenue growth, job count, and product output to validate the model’s success.

3. Reinvest & Expand

Continue supporting companies to scale further, while identifying new beneficiaries in the region to grow impact.
